We are sad to announce that on May 11, 2020, at the age of 91, Bernard V. Funk Jr. (Barre, Vermont) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Bernard Van Funk, Sr. and Evelyn Shields; his stepmother Elizabeth "Betsy" Ross; his significant other Barbara Black; his granddaughter Jane; his son John Funk (Theo Grayson); his grandchildren, Alden and Sarala; his great grandchild Jane Funk (Stuart Finkelstein); and his close friend Ethelyn Lamorey.

These experiences provided the foundation and skills for Van to become a self-reliant and confident deaf adult.
