We bid farewell to Jimmie C. Steelman of Albany, Vermont, born in Gilmer, Texas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 5, 2025 at the age of 88. Jimmie touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though Jimmie may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Jimmie touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his former wife Carol Steelman; and his daughter Susan M. Smith. He is survived by: his wife Marlene Steelman; his son Jimmie Steelman Jr.; and his stepchildren, Regina Thielbar, Dawn Ericson, Eric Pedersen, Joel Pedersen and Benay Pastore. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
