He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Roland Piland and Flossie Joe Smith Piland; his wife Carolyn Faye Hedgepeth Piland; his son Richie Lee Piland; and his siblings, Louise Piland Snook and Richard Ronald Piland.
He is survived by: his son Alan Eric Piland.
