He was predeceased by: his son William Thomas Ruff (Tommy); his parents, James Ruff and Ruth Ruff; and his brother James Arvil Ruff, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Merle Hornsby Ruff; his daughter Susan McClure (Jackie); his sister Regina Ruff George; and his grandson Bailey McClure.
