He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Adams and Marion Hurt Adams; his wife Rebecca Adams; his daughter Jennifer Adams Cashwell (David Scheiderer); his grandchildren, William Grey Cashwell, Jackson Cashwell and Sidney Cashwell; his sister Bonnie Adams Rote (William Rote); his nephews, Christopher Rote (Sarah) and Michael Rote (Lauren); his great-nephew Desi; and his former wife Marylee Dawson.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association in Bill's name.
