It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Silas Albert Carney Jr. of Yorktown, Virginia, who passed away on July 5, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Silas Albert Carney, Sr. and Elizabeth Wallace Carney; his wife Jean Tobe Carney; and his siblings, Etta Scott-Moore and Rozzell L. Carney.
He is survived by: his children, Cheryl E. Carney of Calif, Vanessa M. Carney of Yorktown, VA and Jule S. Carney of Calif; his grandchildren, Kendall of Houston, TX, Kala of Calif, Jule Carney, Jr. (Raymond) and Nev; and his siblings, Dorothy C. DeBrew of Hampton, VA and Joseph W. Carney of Bangkok. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
