With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Peggy Vahl of Yorktown, Virginia, born in Mathews, Virginia, who passed away on June 29, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Grace Harper Soles; her former husband Ronald T. Morris; her husband Walter A. Vahl; and her son David Wayne Morris. She is survived by: her father Boyd Shields; her daughter Rhonda Morris Butler; her stepchildren, Karen Vahl Gunter (David N. Gunter) and Jeffrey A. Vahl (Virginia); her granddaughter Emily Butler Patel (Nathan Patel); her daughter-in-law Leona B. Morris; her stepgranddaughters, Tiffany Kimball Watkins (Evan Watkins) and Jessica Kimball (Bruce Bender); and her friend Dottie G. Bauman. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
