She was predeceased by: her husband William "Billy" Mulkey; her daughter Martha Hope Napier; her siblings, Calvin Holcombe, Lucille Hawkins Hood and Madellon Rogers; and her parents, Thomas William Holcombe and Ella Mae Holcombe (Littleton).

She is survived by: her children, Luther William Mulkey (Janeau), Shanan May LaFlam (Jack), John David Mulkey (Mark) and Bruce Shelton Mulkey (Lori); her son-in-law Tommy Napier; her sister Roberta Gabor; and her caregiver Donna. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
