He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Alberto Galdós Medina and Angela Etchebaster of Galdós; and his sister Gloria Galdós Etchebaster of Montoya. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Burton Galdos; his daughter Michelle Burton Galdos; and his sisters, Nelly Galdós Etchebaster of Cúneo, Dora Galdós Etchebaster of Lima, Liliana Galdós Etchebaster of Lima and Peru. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may made to the Peruvian American Medical Society or to Lewy Body Dementia Research at Columbia University.
