He was predeceased by: his daughter Julianne Hines Collins; his parents, Clarence C. Hines, Sr and Evelyn Jenkins Hines; his brothers, Clarence Hines (Bug), Thomas Hines (Tommy) and Bunnie Ann Dodge; and his friends, Geri Rose and Marvin Estes.

He is survived by: his wife Mary "Sis" Radcliffe Hines; his daughter Pamela Hines Smith; his son-in-law Thomas "Buck" Smith; his grandchildren, Ashley "CoCo" Smith Anderson (Jim), Ryan Hunter "BoBo" Smith (Stephanie) and Kaci Lauren "YoYo" Smith (Marshall Riordan); his great grandchildren, Lily, Jacob Anderson, Sophia and Brooklynn Smith; his pet Bayley; his sister Alice May Taylor of Indiana; his brother-in-law John D. Radcliffe; his nephew Randy Hines (Ranny); and his friend William "Dodolly" Bulls. He is also survived by the son he never had and many nieces and nephews and longtime dear friends.
