Adkins and Elizabeth Adkins (Lizzie); his wife Harriet Anna Smith; his siblings, Alvie Adkins (Dorothy), Calvin Adkins (Jean), Bobby Adkins and Juanita Tuck (Buford); his niece Reatha McCroskey (Allan); his nephew Brad Hedrick; his brothers-in-law, Frank Hedrick and Darrell Jefferson; and his son-in-law Eddie Adams.
He is survived by: his daughters, Alyssa Adams, Cindy Lou Jenks (Bill) and Lori Adkins; his sisters, Faye Hedrick and Vickie Furrow (Benny) of Chatham, VA; and his sister-in-law Judy Adkins of Baltimore, MD..
