He was predeceased by: his parents, Mattie Dennis and Horace Odell Dennis Sr.; and his siblings, James "Tippy" Dennis, Helen Walker, Althea Godwin, Ronald and Rudolph Dennis.
He is survived by: his sisters, Phyllis Jones, Christine Richardson, Gloria Sedgwick (Robert), Maxine Robinson, Sandra Robinson and Florence Feggans (James); his sisters-in-law, Inez Dennis, Helen Dennis and Louise Dennis; and his friend Haywood Vernon. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
