It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hellmut H. Herdey (Yorktown, Virginia), who passed away on January 12, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his grandparents, August and Elizabeth Knodt of Wuerzburg; his daughter Dawn Herdey; his brothers-in-law, Robert Spiegel and Walter Riss; his wife Karin Herdey; his son Christopher Herdey (Carlina) of Seaford; his grandchildren, Jack and Kristina Herdey; his father Gerald Blank (Deanie) of Connecticut; his siblings, Ursula Spiegel, Naomi Blank and Michael Blank (Marlene Eisenberg); his siblings-in-law, Barbara Riss and Robert Wells Johnson; and his nieces and nephews, Jeff, Lisa, Isaac, Lilo, Elijah, Richard, Joan, Elizabeth, Charley, Clare, Gail and Lynn. He was also cherished by many great-nieces and nephews, and cousins.
