He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. Clausen and Betty L. Clausen. He is survived by: his sister Suzanne E. Brassel; his brother-in-law Alfred L. Brassel; his niece Valery Brinda (Mark) of New York City; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Dakota, Sheaden and Ashton; his uncle John Clausen; and his cousins, Robert Clausen and Jeanne Erceg.

In lieu of flowers his family asks that donations be made to Mental Health research.

“Jody was my American cousin whom I first met when he was about 10 when he visited Australia with his family. From then I kept in regular contact with him & visited him when he lived at Kendall Park N J & then in Gloucester VA. We would often talk and I was privileged to be asked to go in basement at Gloucester to hear him sing. Mental illness is such a terrible soul destroying thing. He didn't have a life for so many years and now his suffering is over. Much love to Susie and Al”
