He is survived by: his brother Walt; his wife Peggy Ann Newman; his children, Everette Hale Newman, IV (Thumper) of Williamsburg and Kimberly Ann Newman of Charlotte, NC; his grandchildren, Matthew Newman, Beau Benjamin Newman, Nathaniel Hale Newman and Ashley Williams; his stepsons, Eddie Handy and Craig Handy; his siblings, Laurie N. DiPadova-Stocks of Parkville, Cathy Newman Darden, Angela Newman of Eclipse and Walter Newman of Eclipse; his stepmother Betty Newman Bradshaw of Suffolk; and his nieces and nephews, Audra Mae Wilford of Santa Ana, CA, Joseph DiPadova of Hollywood, CA, Wheeler Darden of Eclipse, Josh Darden of Smithfield, Jake Newman and Olivia Newman of Eclipse.
