He is survived by: his wife Rochella "Rogie" Kennedy; his son Chris Kennedy (Tiffany); his parents, Walter Kennedy and Rovie Kennedy of Wytheville, VA; his siblings, Jerry Kennedy (Lori) of North Carolina, Linda Akers of Wytheville, Lonnie Kennedy (Norma) of Wytheville, Frances Moore of North Carolina, Sylvia Walden of Wytheville, John "Jill" Kennedy (Karen) of Wytheville, Michael Kennedy of Wytheville and Eleanor Abban of Wytheville; his grandchildren, Kristen Woodson, Emily Whetzel (Zane), Greggory Story (Dakota), Eden Kennedy and Lydia Kennedy; and his great grandchildren, Brayden Woodson, Kinley Woodson, Zander Whetzel and Zayden Whetzel.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Barnett Funeral Home (325 Church St, Wytheville, VA 24382). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at the West End Cemetery (1825 W Lee Hwy, Wytheville, VA 24382).
