She was predeceased by: her parents, Sidney "Tibb" Black and Evelyn Hale Black; and her brothers, James "Bo" Black, Sidney "Rab" Black and William "Butchie" Black.

She is survived by: her children, Margaret "Margo" Stokes of Roanoke, Ryan "Boogie" Black of Wytheville and Aaron (Melissa Black); her grandchildren, Sydney Black of Atlanta, Jourdan Black of Roanoke, Chauncey Combs, Jr. of Roanoke, Jasmine Black of Raliegh, Brinlee Arissa Black of New Hill, NC, Jayden Willson of Roanoke, Ava Black, Avery Black of Roanoke and Apple Leftwich of Roanoke; her sisters, Susie Black of Wytheville and Georgia Black of Wytheville; and her nieces, Teresa Black, Alexis Patterson and Karen James.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Franklin Street Methodist Church. A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
