It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of David Wayne Sheffey (Wytheville, Virginia), who passed away on May 20, 2023, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Paula Sheffey; his children, Brad Sheffey (Cassie), Brian Sheffey (Teresea), Candace Hancock (Jason) and Kayla White (Caleb); his brother Rick Sheffey (Vanessa); and his grandchildren, Colt, Savannah, Declan, Luke and Braddox. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.

Although he would never toot his own horn, the family will cherish the many stories of David's charity and assistance to neighbors and the broader community, widows, total strangers, and anywhere he saw a need.
