She was predeceased by: her parent Mary Alice Eanes Wingate; her husband John; and her sister Mary Jean Spraker of Wytheville, VA. She is survived by: her parent Robert Reece Wingate; and her children, Johnny King of Barren Springs, VA, Connie Chamberlin of Rome, Sandra Rabil, Robert King, Suzanne of Gaston, SC, Rodney King and Rita of Clarksville, TN. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
