He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Raymond Smith, Jr. and Mae Barrier Smith; and his brother Frank Raymond Smith, III. He is survived by: his wife Elaine Wetherbee Smith; and his siblings, James William Smith of Raleigh, NC and Kathryn Smith of Winston-Salem, NC. He is also survived by two nephews; one great nephew; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
