She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Earnest Plasters and Jessie Mae Howell Plasters; her husband Wesley R. Hopkins; her daughter Janelle H. Rolfe; and her siblings, Samuel Jr., Howard, J. B., Melvin, Ralph, R. T. Plasters, Muriel P. Hughes and Helen Plasters.
She is survived by: her children, Mary H. Wertz (Jimmy) of Gretna, Martha Hopkins of Christiansburg, Joyce H. Overstreet (Gary) of Christiansburg, John W. Hopkins (Linda) of Woolwine and Jerry H. Hopkins (Wanda) of Woolwine; her grandchildren, John Hopkins, Jr. (Merrill), Jim Wertz (Chastity), Beth Elliott (Brian), Amy Love, Brian Love (Holly), Justin Rolfe (Ashley), Amanda Overstreet, Matt Overstreet, Derrick Hopkins (Kourtni) and Victoria Hopkins; her sisters, Sadie P. Spencer of Fieldale, Betty Jean P. Spence of Patrick Springs and Dorothy P. "Dee" DeHart of Woolwine; and her sister-in-law Dovie H. Brown of Columbia. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
