He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Grandstaff and Maude Lindamood Grandstaff; and his grandson Lacy. He is survived by: his wife Fannie H. Grandstaff; his children, Roy L. Grandstaff (Cindy), Kathy Owens, Karen Grandstaff, Troy Grandstaff (Anita) and Loy Grandstaff; his grandchildren, Brandon, Christina, Dillon, Adam and Derek; his great grandchildren, Ryder, Omar, Jacob, Savannah, Penelope and Felicity; and his sister Judy Miller. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
