He was predeceased by: his parents, Merle Sr. Thorpe and Dolly Rupert Thorpe. He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his siblings, Dale Hepner (Tommy) of Mt. Jackson, Judy Dove of Mt. Jackson and Tony Thorpe Woodstock (Karen); his stepchildren, Wayne Butler Jr. (Michelle) of Linthicum, Tim Butler (Audra) of Pasadena and Patricia Watkins (Talbot) of Glen Burnie; and his stepgrandchildren, Wayne III, Rachel, Jacob, T. J., Matthew and Nicholas.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
