It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Louise McKinney Lilly Grinstead of Woodstock, Virginia, born in Beckley, West Virginia, who passed away on January 7, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles S. McKinney and Pearl Whitt McKinney; her daughter Dorinda Lilly Shaffer; her husbands, Daniel Lilly, Sr. and Wilbert "Bill" Grinstead, Jr.; and her siblings, Otto McKinney, Claude McKinney, Alta Thompson and Eileen Gambrell.
She is survived by: her son Daniel Lilly, Jr. (Denise); her son-in-law George Shaffer; her stepson Wilbert Grinstead, III (Linda); her sisters, Dora Robbins and Anna Ruth Pioch; her sister-in-law Virginia McKinney; and her grandchildren, Daniel Lilly, III, Deanna Francisco, Lisa Caudill, Matthew Shaffer, Mary-Margaret Kim, Paul Grinstead and Nathan Grinstead. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
