James Harvey Cockrell Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Harvey Cockrell of Woodstock, Virginia, born in Ashburn, Virginia, who passed away on September 14, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Marshall Cockrell and Mary Elizabeth James Cockrell; his brother Buzzy Cockrell; and his grandson Turner Cockrell. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Ann Dailey Cockrell; his children, Robert Walker (Paula), Dawn Wolfrey (Chuck) of Edinburg, Terri Gibson (Dave) and Randy Cockrell (Noelle) of Acworth, GA; and his siblings, Larry Cockrell (Shirley) of New Market, Barbara Moran of Charlestown, WV and C. Cummings (Richard) of Ashburn. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
