She was predeceased by: her father Benjamin Harrison Lam; her husband Harry Harrison Combs; and her siblings, Howard O. Lam (Effie), Lorraine Lam Miller (Bill) and Catherine Lam Echard (Statten).
She is survived by: her niece Donna Echard Nesselrodt (Randy); her great-nephew Chad B. Nesselrodt (Brandy); her cousin Phyllis Showalter See; her close friend Marty Helsley (Debbie); her caregivers, Stephanie Beaune, Sharon Martin, Mary Plaugher, Nancy Carbaugh and Brookdale; and also Cameron Nesselrodt.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Harry and Doris Combs Scholarship that is presented to a Central High rising University of Virginia student through the Shenandoah Community Foundation, PO Box 350, Strasburg, VA 22657.
