He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Milton Sherman Sr. and Anna Peer Sherman; and his siblings, Harry Sherman Jr., Jack Sherman, Milton Sherman, Margaret Kibler, Nancy Hottle, Charles Sherman, Dickie Sherman and Anna Marshall.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Dickerson Sherman of Virginia; his children, Donald I. Sherman Jr. (Stephanie) of Woodstock, Eddie F. Sherman (Glenda) of Edinburg and Rhonda Lynn Shelton (Frank) of Woodstock; his sister Betty Sherman of Nashville, TN; his grandchildren, Stephen Sherman (Heather), Whitney Silveira (Lucas), Austin Sherman (Linnea), Josh Sherman, Nicole Cline (Zach), Autumn Shelton and Alivia Shelton; and his great grandchildren, Miles Sherman, Felix Sherman, Riley Cline and Rynley Cline. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Antioch Church of the Brethren Building Fund.
