He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lester Lee Hottel and Anna Florence Snyder Hottel; his wife Virginia Elizabeth Spiker; his grandson Trevor William Hottel; his son Philip D. Hottel (Candace); his grandson Zachary L. Hottel (Ayla) of Woodstock; and his cousin Norma Jean Faber DeWitt.
In place of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Woodstock Fire Department's new apparatus fund at PO Box 176 Woodstock, VA 22664.
