He was predeceased by: his brother Brian Shoemaker. He is survived by: his parents, Charles E. Herald Sr. of Woodstock and Lena Mumaw Hollar of Toms Brook; his wife Denise Helsley Herald of Toms Brook; his children, Charles Herald III of Front Royal and Jennifer Shillingburg of Woodstock; his brothers, Dwayne Herald (Mary) of Edinburg, Troy Herald of Harrisonburg and Tracy Shoemaker (Lisa) of Woodstock; and his grandchildren, Shawn and Freddie Shillingburg.
