It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alma Hopper of Woodstock, Virginia, born in Saltville, Virginia, who passed away on February 15, 2021, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Clear and Winnie Holmes Clear; her husband Byron A. Hopper; and her son Robert P. Balderson. She is survived by: her children, Patrick Balderson and Catherine Poindexter; her daughter-in-law Marilyn Balderson; her grandchildren, Kevin Poindexter, Kelly Ray, Elizabeth Buettner and Jessica Brown; and her stepdaughter Laura Hopper. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
