He was predeceased by: his father Harry K. Neff. He is survived by: his family, Harry K. and Lucy H. Neff; his wife Rene Neff; his daughter Makenzie Carter (Dustin Carter); his grandchildren, Clara, John and Nora; his daughter Morgan Neff (Darian Brown); his mother Lucy H. Neff; and his sister Barbara Bostic (Billy Ray Bostic). He is also survived by one nephew and niece.
He was an advocate for and supporter of Galax High School and Carroll County High School athletics and would appreciate donations to those programs, in lieu of flowers.
