She was predeceased by: her husband Posey Lee Nichols; her parents, Floyd Gardner and Pierce Smith Gardner; and her brother Kenneth Gardner. She is survived by: her children, Patsy Morrison, Pennie (Robert Anderson) and Stephen Lee; her daughter-in-law Resa Nichols of Abingdon; her sister-in-law Geneva Nichols of Galax; and her grandchildren, Donovan (Shannan Duff), Lauren (Steven Morrison) and Eli (Rhonda Nichols). She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
