He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charlie James and Hazel Billings Dixon; his wife Patricia Combs Dixon of Woodlawn, Virginia; his daughter Amy; his son-in-law Janson Norman of Advance; his son Chad Dixon (Casey Martin) of Hillsville, Virginia; his siblings, Sally Rakes of Woodlawn, Virginia, Mary Martin Leonard (Frank), Nancy Salcido of Galax, Virginia and Charles Dixon of Knoxville, Tennessee; and his grandchildren, Chase Dixon, Natalie Vega, Savannah Norman, Nate Norman and Alex Norman. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
