She was predeceased by: her parents, Hobert Richardson and Ina Blanche Quesenberry Richardson; her husband Saford Akers; her siblings, Clara (Daulton Dillard), Berta (Paul Jennings), Colleene (Orvin White), Oneda Bella (French Chrisley), Maxine (Bernard Allison), Harvey (Mary Richardson), Ray (Cora Richardson) and Raymond (Elsie Richardson); and her brother-in-law Vernon White.
She is survived by: her sister Freida White; and her caregiver Monique Woods. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
