She was predeceased by: her parents, Bill Rakes and Hazel Rakes; her husband Richard "Dick" Carrico; her daughter Cindy Roberts; and her siblings, Roberta Mabe and Paul Rakes.
She is survived by: her daughter Deana; her sons-in-law, Robin Case and Rodney Roberts of Galax, Virginia; and her grandchildren, Taylor Case, Derek Case, Allison Shockley and Jacob Roberts. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
