She was predeceased by: her parents, Swanson Early and Wilma Mae Combs Vass; and her brother Barney Vass. She is survived by: her husband Roland Richardson; her children, Lesa (David Largen), Vickie (Zane Sechrist), Tammy (Anthony Crotts) and Terry Richardson; her grandchildren, Nathan Largen, Kristen Largen, Chad Crotts and Hunter Sechrist; and her siblings, Russell (Betty Vass), Gladys (Charlie Sumner) and Dennis Vass of Hillsville. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
