He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Reece and Thelma Grace McCoy Lundy; and his children, Tammy Lundy and Jeff Lundy. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ruth Combs Lundy of Woodlawn, Virginia; his son Ricky Lundy; his close friend Marie Hodge of Woodlawn, Virignia; his son Brent; his daughter-in-law Angela Lundy of Galax, Virginia; his sister Nancy; his brother-in-law Jim Spicer of Hillsville, Virginia; and his brothers, Cecil Lundy of Woodlawn, Virginia and David (Carolyn Lundy). He is also survived by seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
