She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Samuel and Katie Brown; her husband Roosevelt Buddy Garnett Thompson; and her siblings, Hilda Turner Regina Samuel, Hazel Samuel, Dorothy Minor, Emerson Samuel, Russell Samuel and James Samuel.
She is survived by: her daughters, Twanna, Regenia (Maurice) and Demetrice (Anthony); her grandchildren, Dennandoe (Jessica), Tawan, Robyn (James), Tyshawnda, Mckenzie, Jamin, Elijah and Camerynn; and also Teresa Cole. She is also survived by nieces and nephews that meant the world to her, along with cousins and friends, she considered family—a special friend.
