He was predeceased by: his parents, William Paul Gilbert and Sallie Frances Gilbert (Parrott); his brother Paul Travis Gilbert (Charlotte); and his son-in-law David. He is survived by: his children, Rhonda Smith, Craig Steven Gilbert (Karen) and Mark William Gilbert; and his sisters, Mary Higgins of Steubenville, OH, Octina Nelson and Barbara Lowe (Jacob).
