He was predeceased by: his grandson Patrick. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Diehl; his children, Kristin Dias (Diehl) and Mario Dias; his grandchildren, Joshua, Daniel, Natalia and Gabrial Dias (VA) of Woodbridge; his children, Kathryn Diehl of Los Angeles, California, Karen Diehl of Woodbridge, VA, Chris Peters and Sharon Peters (Johnson); his grandchildren, David Ronin Peters of Fairfax, Dylan Johnson, Lucy and Dexter Peters of Mineral, VA; his children, D. Neil Peters and Julia Peters (Lambino); his grandchildren, Victoria Gack (Peters), Reiner Gack, Loreen Anito, Derek, Zoey, Bryan Peters of Bonner Springs, Kansas, Greg Peters and Greysen Peters of Woodbridge, VA; his sister Gloria Diehl (Jim Gilhooley); and also Emma Gack of Bavaria. He is also survived by many brothers/sisters in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and longtime friends.
Their most recent trip was celebrating Bill's 50th USMA reunion (Nov 2022) in Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas celebrating the defeat of Air Force in a nail-biting USMA football match-up and trying to leave Covid in the rearview mirror!
