He is survived by: his sister-in-law Jane Gaskill; his children, Robert C. Gaskill, Jr. (Linda), Vivienne R. Porter, Juli A. Henderson (James) and Cheryl L. Foster (Marlon); his grandchildren, Lonni, Jessica, Rachel, Eliotte, Avis, Julian, Ariel, James, Moriah, Brittany, Victoria and Robert; and his friend Shirley Bryant. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great grandchildren.
