Richard Wolfrey Jr. Obituary
Richard "Ricky" Lee Wolfrey Jr., of Woodbridge VA, passed away June 4, 2021. Ricky battled for 16 months the hardest beast to fight; Glioblastoma (GBM) is a very ugly cancer and for the most part, he held his head up high to fight it. While fighting brain cancer, he also fought to become clean. He was so happy that he was 7 months clean.
He made that decision to fight yet another battle on his own and we are all so proud. Along his journey he also helped others struggling with addiction. He touched so many hearts and made so many friends on top of the many awesome friends he already had. Ricky was a high energy guy that loved to cook, play disk golf, loved the beach, playing Zelda, watching movies, and being with family and friends.
He is survived by his mom, Carol McKnight; wife, Christine Wolfrey; Daughters, Kameren Wolfrey and Grace Jones; along with aunts, uncles and many close cousins. Thank you for joining us today to celebrate his life and carrying on his memory today and forever. Ricky will be deeply missed and will now be our angel in heaven.
His legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone he interacted with. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 from 2-3 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home and Crematory, 3200 Golansky Blvd., Woodbridge, VA 22192, where a funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m.
