He was predeceased by: his parents, William Gunnar and Nellie V. Nordberg; and his brothers, William A. and Edward P. Nordberg. He is survived by: his wife Netty; his children, Richard Nordberg Jr. (Meg) of Oak Hill, VA, Chris Nordberg (Kathy) of Northville, MI and Kim Payne (John) of Manassas, VA; his goddaughter Linda Ruff of Springfield, VA; and his grandchildren, Maley, John, Taylor, Lauren, Christian, Alec, Brendan and Benjamin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
