He was predeceased by: his parents, Julia Narvaez and Juan Vindell; and his siblings, Socorro Vindell, Luis Alonzo Vindell and Estella Vindell.

He is survived by: his wife Dulce Vindell of Woodbridge, Virginia; his sister Maria Luisa Gonzalez; his children, Sergio, Oscar, Luis Vindell and Tania Vindell; and his grandchildren, Gabriel Vindell Avalos and Aliana Vindell.
