He is survived by: his wife Sandra Lynn Shelley; his sons, Christopher John Clayton Shelley of Woodbridge, Virginia and Lewis Alexander Boore, VII; his daughter-in-law Alison Renee Boore; his grandchildren, Renee Mackenzie Boore, Giuliana Grace Boore and Landon Alexander Boore of Fayetteville; his brother Mack Clayton Shelley, II; his sister-in-law Kathleen Diane Shelley of Ames, Iowa; his nephew William Ryan Shelley; his niece Anne Elizabeth Shelley of Elkhart, Iowa; and his pets, Kaiser and Heidi of Woodbridge, Virginia..

Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. (3200 Golansky Blvd, Woodbridge, VA 22192). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Quantico National Cemetery (18424 Joplin Rd, Triangle, VA 22172). A repast was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Ashland Conservancy Clubhouse (5550 Fincastle Dr, Manassas, VA 20112).
