She was predeceased by: her parents, Woodrow Wilson and Alice Brooks Sturgill; and her brothers, Bob Sturgill and Buford G. Sturgill. She is survived by: her sister Carolyn Henson (Charles); her sister-in-law Mary Ann Sturgill; and her close friends, Mary Livingston, Carolyn Artrip, Sue Adams, Barbara Taylor and Jennifer Hibbitts. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sturgill Funeral Home (1621 Norton Rd SW, Wise, VA 24293). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel (1621 Norton Rd SW, Wise, VA 24293). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at the Powell Valley Memorial Gardens (5650 Powell Valley Rd, Big Stone Gap, VA 24219).
