With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Shannon Scott of Wise, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 28, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mabel Robinette Scott and Ted Hunter Scott; his siblings, Elizabeth, Barb Scott Jessee, Rex (Anna), Joe, Jack, Mack and Anthony; and his nieces, Lisa Scott Arnold, Regina Scott Boggs, Pamela Jessee Baker and Joan Scott Cusack.
He is survived by: his wife Shari Dykstra Scott; his daughters, Melanie Scott and Marcie Johnson (Bobby); his grandson Corey Scott; his siblings, June Scott Sturgill (John Paul), Jerry Scott (Cindy), Gilmer Scott (Gwen) and Gordon Scott; his in-laws, Billy Jessee and Renee Scott; his daughters, Karen Kilgore (Jerry) and Ruth Elkins (Eddie); and his caregiver Kara.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Southwest Virginia Cancer Center Patient Assistance Fund - 671 HWY 58 East, Norton, VA 24273.
