He is survived by: his wife Julie Ruth Elliott Short; his children, Brian Daniel Short (Bub) of Roanoke, VA and Megan Michelle Short Fannon (Sissy); his son-in-law Travis of Norton, VA; his mother Barbara Meade; and his pets, Molly and Henry. He is also survived by cousins, friends, and extended family.
