He is survived by: his wife Shirley Sowards; his children, Ritchie Sowards (Glenda) and Heather Sowards Adams; his grandchildren, Zachary Sowards (Katie), LaCinda Adams, Andrew Williams, Hannah Sowards, Harley Farmer, Tanner Adams, Jessica Kenney, Thurman Adams, Jillian Ramsey, Levi, Lili, Oakleigh, Rayleigh and Ryder; his brothers, Clifford Ray Sowards (Joyce) of Rhoadesville, VA and Franklin Delmar Sowards (Donna) of Gordonsville, VA; and his close friends, Tim, Rita Elkins, Matthew Elkins, Justin Elkins and Mike Moore. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
