It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carroll Edmond Sharpe Sr. of Wise, Virginia, who passed away on February 22, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Jean Markland Sharpe; his parents, Charlie Sharpe and Nora Potter Sharpe; and his siblings, Cecil Sharpe, McLynn Sharpe, Bruce Sharpe, Eugene Sharpe and Thelma Sharpe Sergent.
He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Sizemore and Eddie Sharpe (Priscilla); and his brothers, Charles Sharpe of Bowie Maryland and Joe Sharpe of Cookeville, TN. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, in-laws and close friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Oak Grove Baptist Church (14 E 11th St N, Big Stone Gap, VA 24219). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
